Here’s a brand new song from IK Adophy – Ekene.
Gospel singer, Emmanuel Adophy better known as IK Adophy releases a brand new song of thanksgiving dubbed “Ekene”.
Ekene is Igbo, and is translated in English as to “Thank You”, thus making this tune an apt thanksgiving one.
The U.S-based Nigerian Singer who hails from Anambra state, eastern Nigeria, says the song was inspired by the calamities of the previous year and how God help us all triumph over the tribulations.
The singer who has been on the gospel music scene 1995 has been able to cope with singing and his IT business. He is happily married with a wife and three blessed kids in the U.S.
It’s a song that ushers every listener who decides to look into depths of the lyrics, to the serene atmosphere of adoration considering the mountains surmounted over the last year.
According to him:
“I and my family are Covid-19 survivors. It is in appreciation to God Almighty for saving our lives that led to the composition of the song ‘Ekene.’ The word means all thanks be to Yahweh for His great works on us. Besides that, I want to use ‘Ekene’ to reach out to anybody out there going through any problem to believe and put their trust in Yahweh, who is the author and finisher of our faith”.
