Sergio Aguero spared Manchester City’s reddens on Tuesday night by scoring a 92nd-minute champ to save a 2-1 triumph for the Premier League pioneers in the primary leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against a Bristol City side at the Etihad Stadium.
Kevin De Bruyne scored Manchester City’s other objective while Bobby Reid scored for Bristol City who had thumped Manchester United out in the quarter-finals.
Reid guaranteed Bristol City were remunerated for an amazing first-half show by scoring the opening objective from the punishment spot just before half-time.
De Bruyne adjusted for Manchester City 10 minutes into the second half, before Aguero packed away the victor in the second moment of damage time to hand Man City the thin preferred standpoint heading into the second leg at Ashton Gate in two weeks.
The other semi-final is amongst Chelsea & Arsenal with the principal leg occurring on Wednesday.
