Family Plans Week-Long Funeral Ceremony For Late Ras Kimono


Plans are being rounded up for the funeral ceremony of late reggae veteran Ras Kimono. According to reports by Channels Television, family, friends and associates of the ‘Rum-bar stylee’ crooner will give him a week-long funeral ceremony.

Mr Theophilus the chairman of the funeral committee told Channels Television that the singer would have clocked 35 years on stage this year. He said the family of the late reggae singer have resolve to host an annual event in his honour.

“Having played for 35 years on stage which co-incidentally is this year, the family and friends have decided that there will be an annual event to mark his remembrance, his personality, his kind of music and what he represents” Ehizibue said.

Another veteran reggae singer Covenant Child said that Ras Kimono would be missed and his death is a great loss to the music industry.
